Our Products
Carmel Yum Yums are caramelized corn puffs that come in a variety of flavors! They're gluten-free, contain no added artificial colors or high fructose corn syrup, and are oven-baked and caramelized by hand in my nut-free commercial kitchen. Established in 2014, Carmel Yum Yums are a great alternative to traditional caramel corn for anyone! They are celiac-friendly and have no hulls, seeds, or kernels to get stuck in your teeth. There are many flavors to choose from, including a flavor of the month that follows the forever-changing seasons of Michigan! Our most popular flavors are Original Caramel, French Toast, Caramel Cheesecake, and Sweet & Spicy Cajun. Add a bit of milk, and they become the gourmet cereal you have always craved! YUM
My Story
- I had been making our original caramel flavor at home for many years as Christmas gifts for friends and family. One year, I decided to start filling buckets with my caramel coated creation instead of the gift bags I normally gave out. The response was tremendous! The next year, they all brought their buckets to me for refills before the holidays and Carmel Yum Yums the business was born!
- 2014: Became commercially licensed in a commercial kitchen and began selling at the farmers market and wholesaling to stores.
- In 2015, I won two awards: the SPARK Award for innovative ideas in Genesee County and the Re: con BOOM Award (Be Our Own Motivation) for Entrepreneur of the Year in the State of Michigan.
- 2016: Started leasing my own commercial space
Our Mission
To create a quality, old-fashioned, oven baked treat that anyone can enjoy without the worries of hulls, seeds, or nuts getting stuck in your teeth. With us, it's all about the caramel! We believe in transparent labeling and packaging, from our ingredients statement to our resealable,see-through packaging. The quality is in the detail. Our products are not sitting on a warehouse shelf for weeks or months, but are made as orders are received to ensure freshness!
Our Process
Using ingredients sourced throughout Michigan, all of our products are handmade and oven baked with care inside our commercial kitchen in Otisville, MI. Maintaining freshness and quality is important to us, which is why all orders are made as they are received. Please allow three to five business days to process your order.
